COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONAL
Asian Law Caucus Offices
San Francisco, CA

We were the architects for this ground floor tenant improvement of the Fong Building in Chinatown. The program included individual perimeter offices, conference rooms, an interior open office “pod”, reception desk, secondary offices, break room, storage and restrooms. There is an open interior stairway common space that links the basement offices to the main ground floor offices with natural daylighting. Phase 2 includes completing the board room. The overall construction was a partial occupied rehabilitation upstairs, so work between the upper residential floors and the ground floor improvements created complex coordination issues included the layout of the shared entrance lobby, new street sidewalks, shared building systems, and accessible access to the public way.

Construction budget: $650,000
