The renovation of this 63-unit affordable multi-family housing complex was completed in 2005, and included remodeling the dwelling units, upgrading the building systems & site landscaping, adding a new ADA compliant entry gate & ramp, energy efficiency upgrades achieving 15% over Title 24, and constructing a new resident community room. OSA worked closely with the residents and client, Mission Housing Development Corporation, on the programming and site selection for the new community room, which is located off the interior courtyard that is enclosed by the two garden apartment buildings. Removal of several parking spaces for the community room required a public hearing and approval by the San Francisco Planning Commission.
